The collection includes photographs of activity and personnel in the oil drilling industry. Places photographed include, Barrow, Craig, Hydaburg, Kasaan, Klawock, Point Baker, Port Protection, Thorne Bay, and others. Most of the photographs were collected for the publication of the book, Planning for Offshore Oil Development, in 1978, by Lois S. Kramer, Veronica C. Clark, and George J. Cannelos.
